Project overview •
We did a fashion shoot in the magnificent lavender fields of Valensole, France. The aim was to showcase a wedding dress in this magical, natural setting.
The idea behind this fashion shoot was to take advantage of the beauty of dawn, when the first rays of sun bathe the lavender fields in a soft, warm light. This light enhances the wedding dress while creating a pleasant, peaceful atmosphere.
Valensole is famous for its vast lavender fields, especially in summer. The combination of the sparkling colours of the lavender with the delicacy of the wedding dress creates a striking visual contrast, capturing the essence of the Provençal summer.
The resulting images and videos show a beautiful harmony between the wedding dress and the natural landscape. The photos reveal the simple, authentic beauty of Valensole, while the videos show the fluidity of movement in this natural setting. We want to show that we are mobile and that we do fashion shoots all over France !
Process •
To capture the softness of this video, we used a variety of shooting techniques :
- Video at sunrise : By choosing to shoot at sunrise, we were able to take advantage of the soft natural light, which highlighted both the wedding dress and the lavender fields. The golden light created a romantic atmosphere. We were able to use our BlackMagic cinema camera to capture the first rays of sunlight.
- Drone shots : Thanks to the use of the DJI Mavic Pro drone, we were able to obtain spectacular aerial views of the lavender fields. These shots offer a unique perspective, showing the infinite extent of the purple fields and their interaction with the natural environment.
The shoot was a collaboration with photographers Philippe and Sandrine, who captured some stunning images. Our joint efforts highlight the beauty of the region and the dress.
