Project overview •
Marco Mesquita is a designer of Portuguese origin working in the fashion world. His universe is offset and that’s what we liked immediately at the Cave! He contacted us to present a series of clothing creations from his latest collection "Homme : Rouge & Noir". Marco wanted a short and impactful clip to highlight his work. The short film had to highlight all the work done on the outfit but also on the make-up, an element complementary to the creation of clothing.
Mr Mesquita had created himself a decor as well as several accessories in accordance with his collection in order to obtain a harmonious ensemble. Our work as a video provider has been to highlight all these elements and create a video that is both offbeat while maintaining end-to-end consistency.
Process •
When a client approaches us for such an unusual project, it is essential to understand his world. We agreed on several appointments during which Marco presented us with his sketches, ideas and the details that made up his outfits. We were able to offer him a fashion clip corresponding to his universe. A short, rhythmic and offbeat clip.
The shooting of the film took place in Lyon, in a large apartment, which allowed us to place our projectors and our camera according to our desires. To highlight this type of subject, the work on image and light is just as important as that on clothing and make-up. We had to redouble our inventiveness in order to take advantage of the decor and the various accessories available.
