____ Student PROJECT ESMOD
Project overview •
A student from the ESMOD school has called on Caverne de l'image for her graduation project: to present her collection in a short video clip. The theme of this collection was “the bed”, so it was made up of bedding materials.
After meeting our client, we worked out a synopsis to create a thread in this clip that should not exceed sixty seconds. Thus, the clip opens with a person waking up from a bed. A morning that seems classical. We realize a little later that the bedding makes up the clothes of this person and that several models are also on the bed. The clip was later broadcast at a fashion show a few weeks later in the school setting of ESMOD.
Process •
The client contacted us a few weeks before her project. She wanted to highlight her clothing collection created as part of her studies. The theme being on the bed, we wanted to have a soft image, nice to look at. This involves the use of diffuse light and a «light» colorimetry. The Super 35 digital sensor of our cinema camera allowed us to transcribe the light color nuances with great fidelity! This is a sensor corresponding to the film standards of 35mm films. The workflow provided by BlackMagic allowed us to work colorimetry smoothly without loss of quality.
This video was released after the parade where it was to be shown for the first time. The client has informed us of this constraint in advance, we were able to take this into account so as not to compromise his project and respect a very precise chronology!
